John Colvin works widely on integrated and adaptive approaches to sustainable planning and development.

A widely-regarded sustainability entrepreneur, his core expertise lies in designing, facilitating and researching multi-level institutional learning processes, both as a policy instrument for innovation and as a means for implementing climate change adaptation.

A former UK policy maker, he has extensive policy, planning, governance and research experience in the fields of flood risk, water resources, ecosystem services, sustainable livelihoods and sustainable urban development. He has over 10 years experience working in international development, primarily in China, Colombia, Kenya, Pakistan, India, Nepal, South Africa and Tanzania.
