Mesh climate networking: Bristol 28th Feb

MESH-community-021

We're running, with Space4Climate, our second Mesh Climate networking event for climate services which will take place from 6pm on Thursday 28th February at We the Curious in Bristol. The idea is to provide a space semi-regularly where parts of the UK adaptation community can get together and find out what everyone's up to. We had a good launch in London in October, with around 60 people from industry, government and NGOs, and we're really looking forward to the next event. It's 4-5 short talks (5-8 mins) and then free drinks and food, and networking. Places are free but registration is essential.

We've got a great programme of short talks lined up including:

- Nick Pyatt on the work Trioss have been doing on resilience and adaptation pathways in Somerset

- Alison Sneddon from Practical Action on findings from their Climate Information Services Research Initiative

- Professor Colin Taylor from the University of Bristol 'From the subsurface of Bristol to the city as a living laboratory, how the next generation of labs will transform city resilience'

- Richard Flemming, Space4 Climate/TCARTA on 'Using earth observation for monitoring and managing changes to near shore and coastal environments'

Plus announcements from Kate Lonsdale and Suraje Dessai on the new UK Climate Resilience Programme. More info and registration is here. Spread the word, hope to see lots of you there!
